Had minum petang again at BB with the usual gang. I'm getting really forgetful these day... (berangan banyak kot) :-D LOL
Since Wan's requested for some kuih muih pics, here are some of them..
There are actually more kuih outside but these are some of the popular ones. I have to seriously get out to the pasar (market) one day with my camera and do the tourist thing. Just for the heck of it... :-D
::: When you talk about small tidbits, our local 'kuih' is a great dessert when served after a meal. There are many types of 'kuih' ~ kuih Seri Muka (Steamed Layered Pudding) - this 2 layered pudding made of rice flour, glutinous rice and coconut milk is cooked by steaming. Pandan [screwpine] leaves lends essence and the green color to one layer. A white coconut layer goes on top.
A huge variety of other kuih that can be found in every Malay food stall. Besides that, kuih made out of coconut (especially) and gula melaka is plentiful if you actually look for them. There are just so many different types of dessert that you have to see it yourself to believe.
End of all, Malaysia is a dessert paradise with dessert from many different cultures and tastes. The taste is unique in its way and suit perfectly with the hot climate in our country.
